5 out of 5 stars Set-up in 10 min??   March 7, 2007

I wasn't sure about buying this. It looked bland & cheap but we really needed an 8 port switch so I bit the bullet & ordered it thinking I could 'hide' it.
It arrived 1 day after dispatch (earlier than estimated) so a good result there. I took it out of the box and, to my surprise, it was a nice shade of White. So I took it over to where our old hub is, unplugged the network cables & plugged them into the ports of the new hub and plugged in the router and print server. Then connected it to the mains where all the lights lit up Too easy, I thought). I tested all of our pc's and everything worked fine. No setup or anything. Done in the same time it takes to read this. Brill! Simple!
The case is quite sturdy and the style looks very sleek and stylish. The main thing for me is that the port numbers on the front panel are large enough to see at a distance. When lit, the numbers are a nice shade of green. It seems to be well worth the money and I recommend its ease of setup.
The box says 10 to 15 mins setup but that must include drinking a cup of tea!

5 out of 5 stars Good hub - no need to worry about upload port.   January 24, 2006

The great thing about this hub is that it automatically configures the upload port so all you need to do is plug in the ethernet cables to any port without worrying about leaving one port free.
Also it is a lot cheaper than more fancy looking hubs.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product - Instant set-up   April 10, 2008

I purchased this hub 3 years ago and its been running ever since. Instant set-up - just plug into your router/PC's/Mac's/Airport base stations and it works straight out the box. Perfect for splitting one ethernet port connected to your router to connect to many devices.

5 out of 5 stars Netgear FS608UK   December 11, 2008

This is a nice device to use, it doesnt look like what is in the picture above at all.. its actually white and it comes with some little feet for it to stand on. Setting up is too easy, you just plug it into the mains and then just plug all your computers and your router/modem into it via ethernet and it automatically works out your internet port.

5 out of 5 stars It just works   September 20, 2009
Marony (UK)
Simple way to expand the number of wired connections on a router. No set up required, I just plugged it in and worked as expected. Note: This is an 8 way switch, but it provides you with only 6 extra ports in total - you lose one at each end of the cable between the router and the switch. (Buy a 4 port switch and you'll only get 2 extra!)
